TOUCANS

Toucans are piciform birds of the Ramphastidae family. They are unmistakable due to their enormous beak and bright colors that contrast with the areas of black plumage.
The different varieties of existing toucans inhabit the territories between Mexico and Argentina. The largest toucan is the toco toucan, known scientifically as Ramphastos toco, a bird that many would like to be an exotic domestic animal.
Just like many wild animals, the life expectancy of the toucan increases in captivity. We talk about birds that, if well maintained, can live between 15 and 20 years, so it would also be a great responsibility.
If the average longevity in captivity were not enough to discourage you from wanting a toucan as a pet, it must be kept in mind that this animal needs a lot of attention and specific care that cannot respect any person.
